General FAQs

We cover most of King, Pierce, and Thurston counties. While our headquarters is in Puyallup, our technicians are based throughout the region, and they take their trucks home each day. This helps us extend our service area even further!

Absolutely! Our office team is happy to go over our pest control plans and packages with you over the phone. We’ll listen to what you’ve been dealing with, ask a few questions, and provide pricing info. In fact, most of the “sales process” is completed over the phone before a technician even comes out. We’ll only discuss additional findings or recommendations during the inspection if needed.

We get that question a lot! While our mascot, Ralph the Rat, is front and center in our logo, we treat much more than just rats! We handle a wide variety of pests, including mice, ants, spiders, stinging insects, termites, and more.

Many of our clients have tried DIY pest control before coming to us. Pests are tricky, and they can be tough to manage on your own. Our licensed technicians undergo extensive training to understand pest behavior, food sources, and habitats. Plus, we use the latest techniques and products to get things under control quickly and effectively.

We don’t handle wildlife or moles. However, we maintain a list of trusted referral partners who can help with these services.

Yes! The products we use are safe when applied properly. Our trained technicians follow the product guidelines closely and typically recommend avoiding treated areas during and shortly after application. By following these precautions, we keep your family safe while effectively dealing with pests.

In most cases, no. For about the majority of our treatments, there’s no need to leave. If there are specific situations where you should, we’ll let you know well in advance. But generally, since we focus on stopping pests from getting inside by treating the exterior, you can stay put.

Our technicians have a wide range of treatment materials and techniques available to tailor the solution to your specific pest problem. After a thorough inspection, we’ll select the best approach based on the type of pest and your property’s unique characteristics.

Absolutely! We don’t require long-term contracts, so we’re happy to offer short-term services for homes in the process of being sold. If the new owners are interested, we can also offer a transferable warranty to keep them covered.

Not always! In Western Washington, we sometimes see unpredictable warm spells, which can cause ants to become active even in winter. Unpredictable warm spells during the winter months can trigger an ant colony to think it is Spring already, causing them to become active. While they’re usually more active in spring and summer, we get calls for ant control year-round.

It’s usually not a good idea to just do exclusion before addressing any rats that may already be inside. If we seal them in, they can cause a lot of damage trying to find new exits. That’s why we recommend exclusion along with trapping in areas where we’ve found signs of activity. Once the traps are set and entry points are sealed, we’ll catch and remove them quickly.

We take pride in being a team of local professionals who genuinely care about resolving your pest concerns. From the moment you contact us, you’ll be in capable hands with a team that’s highly trained, licensed, and dedicated to providing the best service. We also offer convenient features like advance notifications, detailed documentation, and a client portal for easy access to your service history.

For most of our services, no long-term contract is required. We offer flexible month-to-month options with no penalties if you decide to stop. If you’re looking for a longer-term service, we offer discounts. We’ll go over everything in detail during your inspection to make sure you have the right plan for your needs.

While it might seem like the problem appeared overnight, pest issues often build up over time. Getting the situation fully under control may take more than one visit, especially since we prioritize eco-friendly materials that are safe for your home and the environment. We’ll work hard to solve your issue as quickly as possible.

Our warranties vary depending on the type of pest and the conditions at your property. Typically, our warranty remains valid as long as we’re providing regular prevention services. For long-term protection, we usually start with monthly services and move to quarterly once the pests are under control. Some services, like termite treatment, come with longer warranties.

We aim to resolve your pest issue as quickly as possible, and in most cases, control is achieved within a week or two. We often include follow-up visits to ensure the problem is fully taken care of.
